A few railway thoughts

The layout is set geographically in the Vale of Glamorgan not far from the original Vale of Glamorgan Railway linking Barry with Bridgend, and which was worked by the Barry Railway.  It is also not very far from the Llantrisant to Cowbridge (and thence to Aberthaw) line, which served the ironstone quarry at Llanharry, and was part of the Taff Vale Railway empire. Both lines still exhibited pre-group features into the 1960s, such as Saxby and Farmer and McKenzie and Holland signals.
